Posing in a daringly low-cut top and shorts, while on top of an Austrian glacier, is not something for the faint-hearted.
But then Heather Mills, who took part in this exclusive photoshoot for HELLO! magazine, is “not someone who follows the rules".
At the age of 43, Heather is happy to show off her body, and says she is the same size and shape as she was 20 years ago. Heather, who is a mother to seven-year-old daughter Beatrice with her ex-husband Paul McCartney, says her slender frame still gets her noticed.
“I was walking down the street with Beatrice when she was about six, and she suddenly said to me, ‘Mummy, that guy thought you were hot!,” she told HELLO!. “She says, ‘I’ve got the hottest mummy in school."
Heather adds: "She is really proud of me, and so lovely and sweet. To get the confidence about how you look from your daughter is heart-warming.”
The mother of one credits her physique with years of doing sport and pilates, and also following a vegan diet.
Her fitness levels have impressed on the slopes as well, and Heather has been undergoing intense downhill training as part of her bid to become a member of the British Paralympic team at Sochi 2014.
“My goal is to get to Russia and to win a medal,” she declares.
Not even a recent shoulder injury is going to hold her back. Heather fractured her scapula in five places after crashing into a fence during downhill training in Austria, but in spite of being airlifted to a nearby hospital and being in “a huge amount of pain”, she is vowing to be back on the slopes within six weeks.
Heather has, of course, survived much worse, losing her lower left leg in 1993 after being hit by a police motorcycle.
“The older you get, the more you realise that if you hang on in there, you can get past virtually anything,” she tells HELLO!.
“I’m not afraid of anything.”
“You can’t feel fear if you’re going to be a good downhill skier,” she adds. “And I’ve been skiing at 120km an hour!”
