Now a bona fide style icon, Emma's bold selection was a far cry from her first red carpet appearance in the Big Apple when she went on the promotional trail with The Philosopher's Stone aged just 11.
Presented with a picture of herself from that night, Emma quipped: "Look, I had fun with it! I was wearing gold makeup that night too, so I'm sensing a theme."
Looking serene and calm at the premiere, the starlet managed to hold back the tears but was no doubt full of emotion as she posed for the last time with her co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint.
As Harry Potter actor Daniel himself explained: "We have a sibling relationship. No one knows what it's been like to go through this mad journey but us."
The wizarding trio were supported at the Lincoln Center by Tom Felton, – Draco Malfoy - Professor Snape actor Alan Rickman and Matthew Lewis, who stars as Neville Longbottom.
Sarah Jessica Parker – beautiful in an Oscar de la Renta gown – also attended with her husband Matthew Broderick and son James Wilkie.
