Tom Pellereau beat twelve contestants to be crowned winner of The Apprentice by Alan Sugar on Sunday.
But the 31-year-old inventor also has another reason to celebrate – he’s engaged.
Tom met engineer Sarah Fawcus three weeks before filming begun for the hit programme, and romance still blossomed despite Tom’s hectic schedule on the show.
He proposed last month and the pair are already planning their nuptials, with Tom saying: “We are both big geeks and the wedding is going to be incredible fun.
“I am very fortunate that I met Sarah before all of this started. She is an engineer as well so she is very well grounded.”
Tom was named Lord Sugar’s new business parter after putting forward his business plan for a chair which helps prevent back pain.
And Alan has revealed the reasons behind his decision.
“I am a product man in my heart. I’ve made products and sold them to retailers, that’s in my blood and that’s what Tom is all about.
“It’s just a gut feeling and I’ve done lots of things in my life on gut feeling.”
