She is the original classy, sassy It girl and on Friday Tara Palmer-Tomkinson turns 40 admitting she is not yet ready to grow up.
"I guess I am just like Peter Pan,” she tells HELLO! in an exclusive interview to mark the milestone birthday .
"I am addicted to gadgets," she adds as she tells all about a remote controlled helicopter she has just bought to which she attaches sticks of KitKat which she flies to her West London neighbours.
"I also have a battery-operated Ferrari which is big enough for me to drive."
As if to ram the point home Tara adds: "As well as the gadgets, I still own 40 polar bears. They are all made by Christian Dior and are all called Snowball."
Tara tells HELLO! she is currently enjoying the single life and has no wishes to start a family of her own.
Speaking in the Swiss ski resort of Klosters, she says of children: "I love children because they tell you the way it is – if you stink they tell you your stink - but I can’t see myself having children."
And on men she adds: "At the moment I am happy without having someone whingeing in the relationship. I really don’t miss in. Right now I go to bed with a clear head and wake up with a clear head."
But she does reveal she has a new flatmate, the model Bobby Sable who was in Celebrity Big Brother.
"I call him Super Dude because he is a dude. We both love playing with gadgets, as I do with all my friends. He is like my kid brother. It sounds so stupid but it is just like Toy town in my place. I’ve even got luminous loo paper."
Tara says the big change in her life nowadays is her lifestyle. "I have been very, very blessed to have done (partied at) the BAFTAS, Oscars events and so on – so many of them in so many years. I appreciate and remember every one.
"However, now I am switches – maybe that says I am 40. I just like roast chicken with my mates around the kitchen table.
"Maybe that a sign of my age. People come to my house now.
“I don’t like to look too much into things. Hey, after the rain there’s always sunshine!”
