Gary Barlow has canceled a trip to Majorca for X Factor's judge's house round.
The singer will instead stay in Britain to comfort his wife Dawn after the couple's baby girl Poppy was stillborn 12 days ago.
An ITV spokesperson said. "The Majorca plan has been ditched. Gary is in no fit state to be out of the country. Everyone is completely behind whatever he wants to do.
"He has said that he will stick to the planned September 10 and 11 dates but now we are looking for a suitable venue near London."
The judge's house is an important feature in the talent show, during which the mentors invite hopefuls to their homes and make decisions about which contestants will proceed to the live show.
Meanwhile, Gary also pulled out of Thursday's launch at the Corinthia Hotel, London.
In his absence, co-stars Nicole Scherzinger, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh will ensure things get off to a smooth start.
This year's show looks set to be a glamorous affair. In an interesting twist, the judges will use a plane to jet to auditions around the country.
