Pamela, who can be seen in new promotional shots for the series showing off her curvacious figure and tiny waist in a black sparkling costume, says: "I'm so excited to take part!" Lauren meanwhile, is said to be equally thrilled, though a little nervous about doing routines in front of a live TV audience.
There have been rumours for months that the 26-year-old reality star would be taking part, and these gathered pace last week when she was pictured turning up at rehearsals. Her participation was confirmed on Tuesday morning when the other girls taking part were also announced.
Lauren and Pamela must beat off competition from Coronation Street Star Samia Ghadie and Former MP and Labour politician Oona King, both of whom look fit and ready for the challenge in their official portraits for the show.
Former Blue Peter presenter Anthea Turner is also taking part, and the 52-year-old has admitted she has picked up her fair share of bruises since she started training. 'I have got a massive one on my bum and some on my legs from the lifts,' she says.
Leading the boys is former X Factor winner Shane Ward. The show is the 28-year-old's next big challenge after starring in West End musical Rock Of Ages.
He is joined by Funnyman Joe Pasquale, Welsh rugby player Gareth Thomas, and boxer Luke Campbell, who admits he still falls over despite the weeks of training he's undergone.
Going out to enjoy himself on the ice is TV personality Keith Chegwin, who claims he's only taken a tumble on the ice once so far while practicing, but is worried about how he'll look in spandex once the programme kicks off.
