Paula Hamilton became the first contestant to leave this year's Celebrity Big Brother house ahead of Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt and Frankie Dettori. The 51-year-old made her exit from the Big Brother bubble to a chorus of boos. But Paula, who shied away from the crowd in stylish sunglasses for the night-time eviction, took the bad reception in her stride. Giving the crowd a thumbs-up, the contestant said to the crowd "thank you, good on you". Paula also remained tight-lipped about the hostile welcome to life outside the Celebrity Big Brother house, and said to Brian Dowling: "People have their opinions." Famed for her anti-social mood swings as she tried to avoid the "loud noises" of the house, the model's fellow competitors revealed that they felt "awkward" in Paula’s company. Despite her swift exit, the contestant said she thought the programme was "fantastic", and revealed she was a big fan of former footballer Neil "Razor" Ruddock. "I think I'd like Razor to win," she said. "He's just such a gent, and he's gorgeous and he's funny and he reminds me of Baloo from The Jungle Book."

Jockey Frankie Dettori was not treated with the same sporting affection, however, as the star revealed that she would like the sportsman to be evicted next. Frankie's antics are proving to be popular with bookies and fans alike, placing the jockey as the second favourite to win the competition. Appreciative of the public support he has received, Frankie said to his fans: "Keep voting for me, I'm having a great time. Thank you."

Heidi and Spencer, known as "Speidi", will have to fight a little bit harder for affection. The house's unanimous vote to kick the pair out proved their flailing popularity. Although the pair said that they would have been "disappointed" if they didn't face eviction, Big Brother decided it had other plans for the couple. The pair were rewarded by being set a secret mission, in which they were told to convince their housemates that they were walking out on the show because they were angry at being nominated for eviction. If successful they were to leave the main area of the house, but go to the basement - which would be transformed into a luxurious pad where the couple could stay and stay for 24 hours, during which time they can influence events in the house.

The reality duo will also be immune from the second eviction, placing actor Sam Robertson and Ryan Maloney, who plays lovable character Toadie in Neighbours, in the firing line. Facing eviction on Friday, the pair have one day to put on their best performance yet.
