Former Spice Girl Emma Bunton recently made an emotional plea for the safe return of her family dog, a Labrador retriever named Phoebe. The pet remains missing, and now the star's friends and family have offered their help. Emma's partner Jade Jones also took to Twitter to provide an update, writing: "No sign of our dog phoebe yet! Please keep an eye out for her".

Emma's former band mate Melanie Chisholm also did her bit to raise awareness, and used her own account to ensure people remained vigilant, adding: "Please help find Phoebe, Emma Bunton's beautiful brown Labrador, she went missing on a walk in East Barnet, Hadley Wood, Trent Park area." Melanie took time out to help her friend now that she has returned from a gruelling 100 kilometre sail along Zambia's Zambezi River, which she took part in as part of a Red Nose Day challenge.  The star now continues to lend a hand back on home soil. Mum-of-two Emma was left "in bits" at the beginning of the week when Phoebe, whom she described as a "gentle" dog, disappeared.

So far, thousands of people have retweeted her original message and offered advice, leading to the hope that the pooch will soon be found and can go home to Emma, Jade and their two sons Beau, five, and Tate, who is almost two.
