The coveted footwear are only the second pair of boots personalised with his children's names on that David has ever auctioned off and their price is now expected to soar way above the £15,000 they went for on the night.
The event, set up by Eva Longoria and Karen Ruimy, raised almost £500,000 for the Eva Longoria Foundation, The Great Initiative and Greg Le Marchal Foundation.
David was honoured with the Philathropist Award, but pulled out to celebrate winning the league cup with his side PSG, just hours before he announced his retirement.
In a stunning exclusive photoshoot with HELLO! in the shadows of the Eiffel Tower, Eva reveals why she loves returning to Paris, the city where she had her fateful marriage to basketball player Tony Parker and how she has now moved on enough from the painful split to laugh about it.
"My friend Jeff did the flowers for the event, he did the flowers for my wedding too. The marriage didn't last but the flowers were beautiful," she joked.
She also revealed to HELLO! why she loves living with her 'sorority sisters' and playing card games and Pictionary in her pyjamas. "I surround myself with strong women...they are there for me always."
