Following Andy Murray's incredible victory at Wimbledon, Twitter has been flooded with congratulatory messages from his celebrity supporters.
Victoria Beckham, who attended the men's final with friend Tana Ramsay, was clearly delighted to have seen history in the making. "Congratulations to @andy_murray and his family. Wonderful day at #wimbledon!! So proud to be British! x vb."
Olympic star Jessica Ennis also took to Twitter to share her delight. "Wimbledon Champion!! Well done @andy_murray! Brilliant," she wrote.
"What a privilege to experience that," tweeted Sir Chris Hoy. "Truly outstanding. Bravo Andy Murray."
Rebecca Adlington wrote, "Twitter is going crazy but thought be rude not to add to it… Amazing @andy_murray Congratulations! And @DjokerNole too! Incredible final."
Andy's older brother Jamie Murray also tweeted following the historic match. "What an incredible day!!," he said. "So proud of my lil bro! What a champion!"
Footballer Michael Owen wrote, "Congratulations Andy Murray. The TV shots of his family's reaction were great. That's what it's all about, making people proud."

Delighted actress Minnie Driver, meanwhile, tweeted, "And I want Andy to be King of Scotland."
