Just three weeks after the tragic death of her boyfriend Cory Monteith, Lea Michele bravely returned to the set of Glee last week to begin filming season five with her co-stars.“First day of glee today... And at my first wardrobe fitting for Rachel Berry for Season Five! I've missed her so much,” she tweeted on 1 August.

It was one of the very first tweets from Lea, who stepped out of the spotlight to grieve privately with Cory's family in Canada. She broke her silence on 29 July to thank fans for their kind words. "Thank you all for helping me through this time with your enormous love & support," she wrote. "Cory will forever be in my heart. "She posted her message alongside a touching photo of herself and her late beau in each other's arms with beaming smiles.A week after writing her first tweet, the 26-year-old actress was seen leaving a studio, where she had recorded the first songs for the new season of Glee, wearing a silver necklace with the word 'Cory' around her neck.Focusing on the job at hand obviously came as a welcome distraction for the star, who made a point of thanking the Glee team for their help.“Thank you @alxanders & @AdamAnders for a great recording session today… You guys are the best,” she wrote after the recording session.“Couldn't have picked a more beautiful & perfect song to start the year with,” she added.

Indeed, Lea's professionalism and bravery continues to amaze her friends and co-workers.Vocal producer and recording engineer Alex Anders quickly replied to her tweet, writing, “You were absolutely magnificent today. I am in awe of your strength and your sweet spirit. Love you. #leastrong”.He continued, “You are the strongest person I know. That was truly amazing. Love you xoxo #leastrong,” The hashtag ‘#leastrong# is now circulating on Twitter in response to Lea’s continuing bravery.Fox's Chairman of Entertainment, Kevin Reilly has also spoke out to publicly praise the Glee actress for being a "pillar of strength" following Cory’s death. "She was the first one to say I want to get back to work," he said in acknowledgment of her professionalism. The Glee cast and crew are now working hard on season five of the hit musical show . Show co-creator Ryan Murphy has said that returning to work will "help with the grieving process" for those who were close with Cory.He has also confirmed that a special memorial episode is being filmed that will deal directly with the subject of drug addiction, and will feature "impactful" public service announcement from the cast. All proceeds from the music sales of the tribute episode, which will air 10 October, will be used to start a fund in Cory's honour.
