"When a nurse brushed my hair, I started crying," Amanda told Good Housekeeping. "It was the most tender, loving thing after being bashed around so much.

Following her difficult experiences with pregnancy, Amanda suffered a miscarriage in 2010 and suffered complications when she gave birth to her daughter Hollie in 2012, the actress says she still urges women to have children.

"I tell everyone to have a baby," she said, "Forget your career - you can do it at the same time."
