The 48-year-old, who met Clint Eastwood in 1992 when she interviewed him for the newscast, retired four years later, the same year the couple married.
And now, after her marriage to the legendary actor and director has come to an end, she will resume newsreading duties at the same Monterey, California news station.
Dina's return to her silver-screen post will commence with Monday's 5pm newscast at KSBW. She will then appear part-time on the newscasts for the next two weeks, news director, Lawton Dodd, has confirmed to TMZ.
Dina decided to end her marriage of 17 years last month when she filed for divorce.
The journalist and reality TV star cites the standard reason of irreconcilable differences in the divorce papers filed on Tuesday in Monterey County Superior Court, California.
She is seeking spousal support and full physical custody of the couple's 16-year-old daughter Morgan.
Her filing states that she and Clint, 83, have a prenuptial agreement but that property rights are still "to be determined." She has also asked that her husband take care of her attorney's fees.
While she has been away from the news desk for nearly twenty years, Dina is no stranger to TV.
Last year she stepped into the spotlight when she invited cameras into the family home for her own reality show, Mrs Eastwood & Company, which also starred the couple's daughter Morgan and Francesca, 19, Clint's daughter from a previous relationship.
