Emma Watson has split from her long-term boyfriend, Will Adamowicz.Despite rumours that they were engaged, Emma's heavy work schedule is said to have taken its toll on the couple who have called time of their relationship after several years together. "Emma and Will separated last summer and are no longer in touch," a representative for the actress told The Mirror on Saturday.

Harry Potter star Emma met US-born Will, who's father is a millionaire, when they both transferred from Brown University in Rhode Island, to study at Oxford in 2011.The following year Emma spoke to chat show host Ellen Degeneres about how she had found dating American men, in comparison to the British guys she had previously been linked with. "Usually in the whole courting situation [in England], I'm used to being first of all, ignored for the first two months of the ritual," she said. "And then maybe they'll acknowledge my presence. Then, they'll probably be a little mean to me. And then, maybe we'll, you know...whatever."

"Then I arrive in America," she added. "And I remember a few nights into Brown [University], this guy just being like, 'I like you. You're great. Let's go on a date. Let's do it.'"I'm like, 'I'm sorry, what just happened?' This is like a huge culture shock for me. "They're very like open and very straight-forward - but they wear flip-flops and I don't know if I like that."
