Lauren, 37, was pictured holding her newborn close to her chest as she lay back and rested on a lounger with Simon by her side. The new mother opted for a loose-fitting, sheer patterned kaftan and looked effortlessly cool in dark shades and minimal make up.

She cradled Eric close to her as she bottle-fed him and put him down for a nap.

The adorable tot was dressed in a navy babygro and floppy white hat. He slept soundly throughout the day, oblivious to his parents' family and friends who had gathered around to coo over him.

Lauren's parents Steven and Carole Davis joined the group, while Simon's two Yorkshire terriers Squiddly and Diddly were also included in the action.

Simon and Lauren enjoyed a moment to themselves as they basked in the shade and watched over baby Eric who lay at their side. Lauren leant into her beau as the pair chatted and whiled away the afternoon.
