Hilaria Baldwin speaks about life with Alec and how she keeps in shape as a new mum
06 MARCH 2014
Cradling five-month-old baby Carmen in her arms, yoga instructor Hilaria Baldwin breezes into the park to meet HELLO!, showing off her fabulous figure and with a huge smile on her face.
Much of this joy is obviously down to her tiny daughter, who's inherited her deep blue eyes from her famous dad, actor Alec Baldwin, who Hilaria wed in 2012.

She and the 30 Rock star spent a few weeks in Spain in February, where Hilaria's parents live, while Alec shot a new movie.
We caught up with her in Madrid's emblematic Retiro park for an exclusive yoga session and a chat about life as Mrs Baldwin.
Hilaria, you've got your figure back in record time! How?
"I go to the gym and I practice yoga every day. I don't like diets, so I just try to eat well."
On Instagram, you post daily yoga "selfies" snapped around the world.
"I wanted to do a pose each day... I've now realised that it's really hard to think up a new one every day! But I made a promise and I'm going to keep it. The best poses are the more spontaneous ones."
You've got Carmen as a yoga partner.
"Babies start yoga young! She likes it a lot. She loves to play with her feet... and eat them!"
Where's your dream yoga location?
"I’ve long admired Michelle Obama's devotion to encouraging fitness for children. I would love, more than anything, to do a posture with her at the White House."
How did you and Alec meet?
"We were at a restaurant in New York, separately, and Alec kept looking over at me the whole time. When he was leaving, he came over and took my hand and said, 'Who are you, who are you?'"
Was it love at first sight?
"I fell in love with him very quickly and very easily. He's very romantic."
Did you know he was famous?
"I grew up without TV, so he seemed vaguely familiar, but not very."
What do you like most about him?
"He's my soulmate. We can spend all day taking and we never get bored. With us, everything is very simple. Our wedding rings are engraved: 'We’re a great team'. In the end, that's what it's all about."
What was his proposal like?
"Alec isn't good at keeping secrets from me! He told me beforehand that he was going to propose. I really love that about him, that we have no secrets."
Tell us about your wedding.
"I knew I was so excited to marry Alec, but the moment I saw him as I was walking down the aisle, in front of family and friends, was beyond magical. It took my breath away."
Who does Carmen take after?
"I think she looks a bit like both of us. She has her father's eyes, but her nose and mouth are like mine."
What's it like being a first-time mum?
"It's the best thing that's ever happened to me. It surprised me just how much you can love someone like this. The other day we got her ears pierced and she cried for a few seconds, but I cried way more!"
