She explained why she was the first person in The Voice history to go on stage with a handbag – the additional accessory was in fact in honour of her grandmother who went everywhere with hers.
"That was the reason I took my handbag onstage, the first person in The Voice history to go on stage carrying a handbag! My nana would never go anywhere without her handbag. It was the 'nana clutch', said the singer.
The Melbourne-born star went on to describe her move back "home" as a "positive step".
"My life has been based at the other end of the world for a long time now. I am hoping this is one positive step in being able to spend more time in Australia and being closer to them."
Kylie appeared on the UK version of the reality singing competition earlier this year. She admitted that she would be leaving the show, where she was judge with Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am, Tom Jones and Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson, earlier this month.
"#Lovers, due to timing of my tour I won't be back next season for The Voice UK Thanks to all who supported! Hope to see you on my KMO tour!" she wrote on Twitter.
