Victoria Beckham and Samuel L Jackson caused quite a stir when they were seated side-by-side in Centre Court's Royal Box for the Wimbledon final. A short video of the fashion queen and Pulp Fiction star sharing a silent moment went viral on the internet, sending fans aflurry with Twitter messages and witty comments.It was Samuel who set the record straight in response to claims there had been awkwardness between the two Wimbledon fans.

"I had a ball sitting next to @victoriabeckham at Wimbledon yesterday!" wrote the 65-year-old.Victoria, who was accompanied by her husband David Beckham, and Samuel, were in good company for the men's singles final on Sunday.Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, were also out in royal force to watch the grand final between Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, as were Kate's parents Carole and Michael Middleton, her younger sister Pippa and Pippa's boyfriend Nico Jackson.

The A list of spectators didn't end there, with Bradley Cooper and girlfriend Suki Waterhouse, Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky, the Duke of Kent and GB Olympic cyclist Sir Chris Hoy all in attendance. Orlando Bloom and Kate Beckinsale were also spotted in the Wimbledon crowd. When Novak Djokovic aced the gruelling game to become the world's new no. 1 tennis player, he received some extra special congratulations from two royal tennis fans.

The Duke and Duchess stayed behind to personally congratulate the sportsman on his win and the "amazing tennis" played. In the informal chat, Kate revealed that since having Prince George, who turns one on 22 July, she hasn't made it to the tennis court as much as she may have liked. "I'm slightly out of practice since having George," she said, adding playfully that she and her husband Prince William "have quite a competitive game."
