made the comments during an interview with The Daily Telegraph
. He also told the paper that he's only just come to terms with the stratospheric rise to fame that came from starring in the Twilight films
"I had a bit of a struggle at first because my life really contracted and I couldn't do a lot of the stuff I used to be able to do," he said.
"But once I got through that a year or two ago I just accepted my life is something else and now I can't really remember what it was like before. So it's much easier to deal with."
The 28-year-old star has clearly been open to discussing personal issues with journalists this month. In a separate interview, with Esquire
magazine, he responded to questions about his break-up with Kristen Stewart
, telling an interviewer: "S**t happens."
He added: "The hardest part was talking about it afterwards. Because when you talk about other people, it affects them in ways you can't predict."
