After months of speculation about her pregnancy, Jennifer Garner proudly defended her "baby bump" on the The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday.

The actress said that her rounded tummy is thanks to having her and Ben Affleck's three children, Violet, eight, Seraphina, five and two-year-old Samuel, and isn't going anywhere.

"I am not pregnant, but I have had three kids and there is a bump," said the 42-year-old.

"From now on, ladies, I will have a bump, and it will be my baby bump. It's not going anywhere," she continued. "Its name is Violet, Sam and Sera."

Jennifer was the subject of numerous rumours that she and Ben were extending their adorable brood after she was spotted wearing a series of loose-fitting tops while out and about.

Speaking of the rumours, the gorgeous brunette explained that people she knows even thought they were true.

"I get congratulated all the time by people I know. This one woman who had babysat for us said, 'Oh, my gosh! I can't wait for No. 4,' and I thought, 'What is going on?'".

"So I asked around and apparently I have a baby bump, and I'm here to tell you that I do!"

Jennifer also talked to chat show host Ellen about her husband's latest film Gone Girl.

The hotly anticipated film directed by David Fincher is an adaptation of Gillian Flynn's 2012 best-selling novel, which topped the New York Times bestseller list for eight weeks and sold more than two million copies in its first year of publication.

Ben stars as Nick Dunne, who becomes the prime suspect when his wife Amy, played by Rosamund Pike, goes missing. The crime thriller is full of twists and turns.
