Rebekah Gibbs, who was best known for her role as Nina Farr in Casualty, has passed away aged 41. The actress had been battling breast cancer for six years.
Talent agency Belfield & Ward confirmed the news on Twitter, posting a beautiful photo of the star alongside the caption: "Darling Rebekah Gibbs – a true inspiration and dazzling light – never to be forgotten."
Rebekah was first diagnosed with the disease in January 2008, just ten weeks after giving birth to her daughter Gigi.

At the time the Holby City star wrote about her experience in her weekly column.
"The nightmare had begun," Rebekah revealed in The Mirror. "After a week and a half of being prodded and poked, I'd been given the most horrendous news. At the age of 35, I had an aggressive form of breast cancer: grade three.
"Instead of enjoying those first few months with Gigi, her first gurgle, giggle or smile, I would be enduring a lumpectomy, chemo and radiotherapy, and staring my mortality in the face. Life had never seemed bleaker."

After five years of battling cancer, the Torquay-born actress was given the all clear, but her illness returned in April of this year when she was on holiday with her family in Devon.
Rebekah suffered a seizure was rushed to A&E, and later diagnosed with two brain tumours, plus one in the neck and a lesion on her lung.
Following the news that she had passed away, Rebekah's fans and friends paid tribute to the actress – who has also starred in West End musicals Grease, Fame and Starlight Express – on social media.

"So many memories... We will never forget you Becky. Keep twinkling. Wherever you are," wrote Coronation Street star Hayley Tamaddon.
Casting director Anne Vosser posted: "Very sad to hear of the passing of the lovely Rebekah Gibbs! An original Copa girl and all round top lady! "Gorge!" RIP Xxx."
"RIP Rebekah Gibbs! @BirdCollegeUK is very proud of you! Our thoughts are with your family & friends at this sad time!" wrote Luis De Abreu, artistic director of Bird College where Rebekah trained.
