Chris Pine has revealed that he is single. When funnywoman and TV presenter Ellen DeGeneres asked the Star Trek star for an update on his relationship status while the pair were chatting on her show, he confirmed: "I'm a single man".

The handsome actor was most recently linked to Icelandic beauty queen Íris Björk Jóhannesdóttir who was crowned Miss Reykjavik in 2010 at the age of 20.

The 34-year-old has had his fair share of beauties on his arm over the years, including Lenny Kravitz's 25-year-old daughter Zoë, who he has been pictured with on several occasions including at a Coldplay concert in September, as well as at London Fashion Week last year where they were photographed attending parties for Tom Ford and W Magazine.

He has also been romantically linked to Audrina Patridge, Olivia Munn and Dominique Piek. But it was one lucky fan who was serenaded by Chris on Wednesday, when she was asked to join Ellen and the actor on the stage of the hit talk show.

Eileen Lee from Irvine, California got to make her own request for a tune, and chose a song by legendary crooner Frank Sinatra.

Wearing navy blue trousers, a white T-shirt, a heather gray blazer and brown leather dress shoes, the handsome star kindly obliged, looking suave as he sang a few lines from hit 1966 song Summer Wind.

The performance, complete with the actor swaying from side to side in true Frank Sinatra style, prompted Ellen to say "So, you're handsome, you sing, and are you single?"

Once his availability had been established, the TV host went on to comment on the star's impressive physique, showing a shirtless still photograph of him.

"Ellen, that's a lot of fake tanning," he said. "For the movies, you gotta look healthy."

Ellen then asked him to confirm whether his fans were indeed referred to as "Pine Nuts".

"They are. Yes, indeed they are. Do you have a 'Pine Nut' here?" he asked in jest.
