Jennifer Lopez shares cute Christmas snap of six-year-old twins

Jennifer Lopez called upon her two adorable twins Max and Emme to help her get into the festive spirit. Giving her fans a sneak peek into how they were preparing for Christmas, the 45-year-old singer shared a couple of photos on Instagram. In one snap, Jennifer captured her six-year-old daughter Emme donning a pair of glittery Christmas tree shaped glasses, with her hair tied up in side buns. Showing that the apple doesn't stray far from the tree, Emme looked every inch a mini-me of her mother as she beamed out at the camera and gave her best winning smile.

"Ok she did it!! Officially got me in the Christmas spirit!!!#coconut #love," Jennifer captioned the snap. The actress, who split from her ex-husband and father of her children Marc Anthony in 2011, has previously explained how she came about calling her twins "coconuts"."They're my coconuts," Jennifer said on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno when the youngsters were just three-years-old. "That comes from when they were little and in their cribs and started growing hair. It looked just like a coconut to me. They both look like coconuts!"

In another sweet snap posted on Instagram, Jennifer showed off her double pride and joy Max and Emme. This time Emme, who wore a festive set of red pyjamas, wore silver reindeer shaped glasses while she lent her brother her Christmas tree ones. The youngsters looked the picture of cuteness as they sparkled for their home photoshoot, with Emme taking particular joy in striking a pose in front of the Christmas tree. "MERRY (coconut) CHRISTMAS... #mylife #my purpose#thesetwoknowhowtohaveagoodtime," Jennifer wrote alongside the photo.

The Bronx-born star, who shot to fame with her debut single If You Had My Love in 1999, was awarded the "Triple Threat" gong by People magazine earlier his week, for her talent as a singer, actress and producer. "For me, whether it's singing or dancing, I'm so blessed and fortunate to do what I do," Jennifer said in her acceptance speech. "I love to entertain. It's so important to cherish every moment and treat others well – to enjoy this life and be happy in every single moment. I'm so grateful for my career and my life. I feel like it's always just the beginning and it is. Lots more to go."
