Simon Cowell showed off his softer side once again on Monday as he revealed he watches Disney films with his son Eric. The music mogul shared an adorable photo of them cuddling up to watch The Lion King together, after admitting they had watched The Jungle Book "1,000 times".

In the snap Simon appeared to be struggling to keep his eyes open while Eric gazed intently at the screen as he rested his head on his dad's chest.

"After watching the Jungle Book 1,000 times we have moved on to the Lion King," Simon told his Twitter followers.

It is not the first time Simon has revealed his son's love of the Disney movie. In November The X Factor judge shared that I Wanna Be Like You from the animated classic was one of his and Eric's favourite songs.

The 55-year-old has clearly taken to fatherhood despite previously claiming he wouldn't get involved with some parenting duties – and recently admitted he wouldn't rule out having another child with his girlfriend Lauren Silverman.

"I wouldn't rule out anything," he told The Daily Star, giving a further hint about his plans by referring to his pet dogs Squiddly and Diddly.

"Well I got (my dogs) Squiddly and Diddly, and I couldn't imagine Squiddly or just Diddly," he explained. "I had a brother when I was younger, so I kind of think it's cool to have two or three… two."

For now however Simon seems content spending time with his 14-month-old son, who he has previously said has brought a "new energy" to his home.

"It definitely feels more like a home. There's more of a nice atmosphere," he told the Daily Mirror. "It's definitely louder but not to the point where everybody thought I was going to be getting up at five in the morning and all that kind of stuff."
