Geri Halliwell shared an incredible throwback photo to celebrate 20 years since the Spice Girls filmed their first music video on Tuesday. The singer thrilled fans by sharing a photo of herself and her bandmates filming scenes for the now iconic Wannabe video at St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London.

The image sees Sporty, Scary, Ginger, Posh and Baby Spice all dressed in their outfits from the video, with Geri smiling as she stands in the middle of the group wearing a sequinned leotard.

"20 years ago we shot a video for #wannabe. Time flies. I still remembering running around in my Mary Quant platforms, the sparkly leotard I bought from nottinghill market. Awh #younggirlsbigdreams," Geri captioned the photo.

Unsurprisingly the photo quickly captured the attention of Spice Girls fans, many of whom couldn't believe that so much time had passed since the girl group started their hugely successful pop career.

"20 years ago? Wow I was just 8 and I loved you girls #girlpower," one fan wrote. "Spice Girls Forever," many others commented.

There has been much talk of the Spice Girls reuniting to celebrate their 20th anniversary in 2016, and while most of the original band members are willing to take part, Victoria Beckham has ruled out a reunion.

A rep for Victoria reportedly told TMZ that the mum-of-four has no plans to appear with the group "now or in the future", adding that she has "been very respectful about the fabulous time they had together in the past, however her focus is now very much her family and fashion business."

However Geri still seemed keen to go ahead with the reunion – with or without her bandmate. Speaking on the red carpet at the Brit Awards in February, Geri told reporters: "There was a conversation this morning with Melanie B and we were saying there has to be something. I'm not announcing anything officially, but I'd like something as much as you."
