In December 2015, Jesse and Anna rekindled their romance and have been together ever since.

Although notoriously private, Jesse - who was nominated for an Oscar for his performance as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network - has previously spoken about his long-term love, praising her for the work she undertakes to raise money for domestic violence shelters.

"I find people who want to help other people to be the most interesting," he said. "I come from a family of teachers, and my friends are teachers, often times in very difficult school situations."

Elsewhere, Jesse was last seen on the big screen alongside Kristen Stewart in Woody Allen's summer film Cafe Society. This was the first time the director chose to make a film in LA since his 1977 classic Annie Hall.

He also recently appeared on stage at London's Trafalgar Studios in his self-penned play The Spoils alongside The Big Bang Theory's Kunal Nayyar and Game Of Thrones actor Alfie Allen.

The acclaimed actor star will next be in Now You See Me 2 and Justice League, which also stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot. Jesse will reprise his role as the comic supervillain in 2017's follow-up film.
