They first met Prince Charles nearly 20 years ago when they were at the height of their fame as members of the Spice Girls. And on Monday night, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton looked absolutely delighted as they were reunited with the royal at the Pride of Britain Awards in London.

Geri, who is pregnant with her second child, and her bandmate Emma appeared to be in great spirits as they shared a quick giggle with Prince Charles on the red carpet - no doubt reminiscing about the time Geri planted a kiss on his cheek at the Prince’s Trust 21st anniversary concert in 1997.

She also told him, "You're very sexy. We could spice up your life," before pinching his bottom.

Although it was perhaps one of the most iconic moments in recent pop culture times, in a previous interview with The Times, the 44-year-old star claims she did not actually grab the royal's behind.

She said: "I didn’t pinch Prince Charles’s bum, as was reported. I patted it. Patting him on the bottom was against royal protocol but we’re all human. It was the premiere of our film, Spice World, in the late Nineties. There was a lot of nervous energy - young women, happy antics."

Despite the cheeky approach, Ginger Spice was definitely more refined at Monday night's bash. She looked every inch the glowing mother, dressing her blossoming baby bump in an elegant form-fitting gown.

Last month, the former pop star - who is already a mother to daughter Bluebell, aged ten - and her husband Christian announced their baby joy in a joint statement.

"Spice Girl Geri Horner, 44, and husband Christian Horner OBE, 42, are absolutely delighted to announce they are expecting their first child together," it read. "The couple is overjoyed with the good news and cannot wait to welcome the newest addition to their family."

Geri also shared the news on Instagram, borrowing a line from her solo single It's Raining Men to make the announcement. "God bless Mother Nature #mamaspice," she wrote alongside a sketch of a heavily pregnant woman.
