How time flies! Ronan Keating has written a touching tribute to his son Jack as the handsome lad celebrates his 18th birthday on Tuesday. The Time of My Life singer took to Instagram to share a photo of the father-son duo, writing: "Happy Birthday to the best son a father could dream of. Can't believe it's been 18 years since the day you came into my life, I am so proud of you and the young man that you are. You are the coolest cat I know. Love ya son #happy18thJackKeating."

The photo appears to have been taken a couple of weeks ago at the Emeralds and Ivy Ball, which Ronan hosts annually for Cancer Research UK. The Boyzone band member sadly lost his mother to cancer when he was just 20, and every year Ronan shows his support for the lavish ball. At February's event, Ronan was joined by his pregnant wife Storm and his three children Jack, Missy and Ali from his previous marriage. The Keatings made a gorgeous family on the night out, with Ronan, 40, fittingly wearing an emerald blazer and Storm, 35, dressing her growing bump in a black strapless gown.

The family are looking forward to welcoming their new arrival in a couple of months. During a recent appearance on Loose Women, Ronan said: "I cannot tell you how excited I am." He revealed that his 11-year-old daughter Ali was particularly thrilled. "Ali FaceTimes every day – how big is the bump, can I see the bump?'" he said, adding: "They're over the moon."

Storm, who announced her pregnancy news in December, added: "She rubs the belly when it kicks. She has the most amazing questions, some of them are really grown up and I don't even know how to answer them." The Australian TV producer added: "Every time I see him with his kids I fall more and more in love, he is the most incredible father."
