Ronnie Wood and bride Sally Humphreys 'blissfully happy' after festive wedding

Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood and his new wife Sally Humphreys are "blissfully happy as they begin their new life together", a source close to the guitarist exclusively tells HELLO!. The friend adds that the couple "thank everyone for their kind wishes" following their Christmas wedding. The 65-year-old made theatre producer Sally his wife in a brief ceremony which took place on December 21 on the eighth-floor penthouse suite of the Dorchester hotel in central London.

Around 45 guests gathered for an intimate ceremony including Ronnie's three children Leah, Jesse and Tyrone and several celebrity pals. Among them were Jesse's pregnant girlfriend, Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton, Stereophonics singer Kelly Jones and girlfriend Jaqqi, Kenny Jones of The Faces and his wife Jayne. Best men Rod Stewart and Sir Paul McCartney attended with their glam other halves Penny Lancaster and Nancy Shevell. The friend adds: "After a beatific service with three readings, Ronnie, supported by his two best men – who both gave speeches alongside Sally's dad and Ronnie himself – the happy couple joined their guests in a glorious celebration with tea and cakes."

The bride was resplendent in her mother's wedding dress created over 40 years ago and bought back to life by Tommy Hilfiger. After walking the aisle hand-in-hand they later departed the hotel together at 8.30pm.

Sally, 34 changed into a pink dress with tailored coat by Ted Baker while Ronnie's two suits, his ceremony attire and after suits, were both handcrafted by Jonathan Saunders. Once outside the hotel the newlyweds stopped to share their first kiss as man and wife. The new  Mr and Mrs Wood were then joined by Rod and Penny for dinner at the Ritz.
