Speaking to the Bestival organisers about his appearance, the award-winning artist is in favour of the quirky music event's style.

The 65-year-old said: "I haven't played any of the major festivals in the UK in recent years, so when the opportunity to play Bestival came up I was very interested. I've heard that the Bestival audience comes in fancy dress and I can't wait to see that - they must all look amazing from the stage. "At various times I wore enormous feathered head-dresses, cloaks, hot pants, jumpsuits, clown suits, a Minnie Mouse outfit, French maid, the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty."

In the heart-warming interview Sir Elton admited that he wondered if he would ever be able to love another child as much. "But I have learned that a parent's capacity for love is endless. When another child is born, our depth of love just grows deeper and wider, so it was very emotional," confessed the star.Filmmaker David, 50, added: "Throughout our lives we have both loved and been loved, but the love of a parent for his or her child is different to anything else, as all parents will know. You find new depths of love, and experience pure joy." Elijah, who arrived on January 11, was born via the same surrogate who gave birth to Zachary and the couple reveal that their boys also share the same egg donor.
