They headed to the legendary Chateau de Versailles, also known as the Palace of Versailles, located about an hour from Paris. The grand, historic sprawling palace was formerly the home of Louis XVI and his wife Marie Antoinette.

Kim revealed the visit to France's most celebrated grounds to fans by posting a video of the palace’s interior, sending Twittersphere into overdrive. "Versailles after dark," she said simply.

The couple, who don't do things by halves – Kanye proposed to Kim in the AT&T Park stadium in San Francisco which he hired out especially for the occasion – also went to see the Trianon Palace Hotel, about 20km from Paris.
