Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt touch down in LA ahead of the Oscars

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt touched down in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon together with their six-strong brood, after their stint in Australia.The Hollywood power couple arrived at LAX airport in LA with Maddox, 12, Pax, ten, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, seven and five-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.Their timely return Stateside means that the pair will be attending the Oscars on 2 March, where 12 Years a Slave, co-produced and featuring Brad, is one of the year's most-nominated films.

Angelina, 38, who has been based in Australia since the end of 2013 while directing her latest film, Unbroken, was casual yet sophisticated in skinny black jeans and a bright green shawl, aviator shades and black flip slops as she held her daughter Vivienne's hand.Brad, meanwhile, who has been sharing his time between Australia and the UK filming The Fury, looked content and casual in a white t-shirt and beige trousers, beige jacket and hiking boots and carrying a matching satchel.An eyewitness at LAX told Us Weekly, "I think the kids were tired!"

The evening before the long-haul flight, Angelina and Brad stepped out for a beachfront party in Australia's Airlie beach on the east coast to celebrate the wrap of Unbroken.

The handsome couple were all smiles as they greeted excited fans on their way into the Shipwreck Bar & Grill, waving to the cameras as they went to celebrate with 130 others at the wrap party of Angelina's film. "They looked very much in love throughout the night and were very happy and relaxed," the restaurant owner Adele Blakemore told Us Weekly of the pair. "They were together all night, I don't think she left his side at all except to go to the bathroom!"
