Their first cookbook, Galvin A cookbook de Luxe (named after their restaurant Bistro de Luxe), is a beautiful compilation of 150 recipes – from takes on classics to the very contemporary.
The recipes are based on dishes from their restaurant menus – so you can cook restaurant food at home. Items such as cassoulet of Toulouse sausage, crisp confit duck leg, black pudding and salad Lyonnaise sit alongside very modern dishes such as Ballotine of mackerel and tartare with soft-boiled quail’s eggs and bone marrow and parsley custard (Surprisingly in this instance though, the ingredients list isn’t pages and pages long!).
A must for any Franco-phile, Galvin is a brilliant collection of stunning French dishes with a modern, creative culinary touch.
