Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie toast to their Miraval rosé wine

While it would be easy to presume that Brad Pitt showered Angelina with diamonds on Valentine's Day, it has been revealed that his gift was a little more economical. The Moneyball star reportedly gave Angelina a packet of Eat Whatever mints on the special day. "It is sort of a joke – and not," a source was quoted as saying. "He always teases her that she has bad breath."

Angelina has a better track record when it comes to lavishing gifts on her loved one. She once bought Brad a diamond pendant worth six figures, a waterfall in California, and for Valentine's Day in 2010 she surprised him with an epic present: a 200-year-old tree on their country estate, Chateau Marival, in the south of France.

The couple, who have been together for nearly eight years, love spending time at their home in the beautiful Provence countryside, and it's also been revealed that they have developed their own rosé wine label, which they have named after the chateau.

"Brad and Angelina are very friendly, nice people and down to earth," revealed Marc, their business partner and well-respected winemaker. "They're thinking long term. If you knew Brad and Angelina, you would see they are in search of perfection in everything."

The 2012 Miraval wine will go on sale in March and the back label will carry the names of Jolie-Pitt and Perrin. "We talked a lot and did the first harvest together. They are very demanding in seeking excellence in the quality and character of their wine.

"They were present at the blending sessions this year, and are relooking at everything from the installations in the winery – where we have already switched to stainless steel tanks – to reworking the labels across the range of wines," added Marc.
