Adorable blonde candyman Jamie Laing has kept us entertained on Made In Chelsea with his happy-go-lucky character and very own lingo. And now the 24-year-old baker – and McVitie's heir – has taken time out from the cameras and the kitchen to chat to HELLO! Online.
We enjoy ten minutes of sweet talk with the MIC star, who has recently released his very own cookery book, Candy Kittens: Recipes For Sweet Treats using recipes from his King's Road boutique, Candy Kittens.
If you were a sweet, what sweet would you be?
Sour Skittles because they’re not completely sweet but everyone still likes them!
Did your parents tell you not to eat too many sweets when you were a child?
I wasn't allowed sweets when I was young but only because they made me too hyper... I think that's why I love them so much now!
If you were to make a cake to impress your date, what would you make?
Banana cake because everyone like bananas and apparently they're really hard to make.
Who taught you how to bake?
My Mum. When I was younger she used to bake all the time and I would sit with her watching and lick the spoon...
What's your favourite cake?
My favourite cake would have to be carrot cake or cheesecake. I can’t decide between them, I love them both!
When is your favourite time of the week to bake?
Weekends are always the time to bake, especially if you feel like doing something fun and adventurous!
What's your top baking trick?
Timing! Timing is so key when it comes to baking.
Do you bake cakes for your mum on her birthday?
I made her a cake once, but I forgot to bring it when I went to her house and then Francis ate it!
What's your favourite Made In Chelsea hang-out to eat at?
My favourite Made In Chelsea place to eat at would be Zuma. I love sushi more than anything.
What would you take with you to a desert island?
If I were to go to a desert island I would always bring a sushi chef!
Who is the best cook in MIC?
Francis claims he's the best cook however he's never cooked me anything apart from Nachos, so I would have to say that secretly I'm the best... ha ha!
