English rose Denise Van Outen leads Britain's lovely ladies in getting the nation baking for Children in Need

Stars of British TV and radio including Fearne Cotton and Tess Daly recently encouraged the nation to don their oven gloves and bake one of Britain's most-loved cakes in aid of BBC Children in Need.

And now Denise Van Outen looks every inch a domestic goddess as she leads more lovely ladies – singer Kimberley Walsh, actress and baking fan Kara Tointon and TV presenter and model Laura Whitmore – in encouraging the nation to embrace their inner baker and hold a bake sale.

The funds raised from the baked delights will go towards making a positive change to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

TV presenter and West End star Denise Van Outen, who donned a gorgeous floral dress and high heels as she held a mouthwatering cake and beamed for the camera, says: "There really is nothing better than a slice of cake, so come on Britain, be a hero and get Baking for BBC Children in Need this year."

Kimberley asks people to become baking heroes for BBC Children in Need.

"Be a fundraising hero for BBC Children in Need and get baking one of the Nation’s favourite cakes, it is fun, delicious and will go on to help change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people right here in the UK," says Kimberley, who welcomed a bouncing baby boy earlier this month.
