UK's first cereal café set to open in Brick Lane

The UK’s first café dedicated to cereal will open its doors this December in Brick Lane, Shoreditch. Cereal Killer Café is set to offer more than 100 varieties of breakfast cereal and over 13 kinds of milk.

A choice of 20 toppings completes the perfect breakfast bowl. And cereal-lovers needn't despair – the UK's first café completely dedicated to boxes of the breakfast staple will be open from 7am - 8pm, meaning customers can satisfy their cereal cravings for either breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Owned and run by twin brothers Alan and Gary Keery who hail from Belfast, the café offers a selection from around the world.

Alan says that he wanted to recapture the excitement he felt about cereal when he was a child.

His brother Gary told The Independent newspaper: "My favourite cereal at the minute is anything peanut butter flavoured from America, especially Cap'n Crunch Peanut Butter mixed with Strawberry Milk! And as for the classics, I am still a fan of Shreddies which is my go to comfort food when served with hot milk."

The pair hit upon on the idea when they wanted a bowl of cereal one afternoon, but no lunch spots catered to their craving.

To fully transport customers back to their childhoods, the café will be decked out with hundreds of pieces of cereal memorabilia from the 80s and 90s, as well as vintage TVs playing old cartoons.

Small bowls will set you back £2.50, medium bowls come in at £3.00 and the largest option will sell for £3.50.

For the non-cereal aficionados, the café will also provide locally produced coffee, as well as toast, pop tarts, and other breakfast staples.
