BAFTAs 2015 menu unveiled

On Sunday night, the stars of cinema from around the globe will sit down at the Royal Opera House to honour the biggest and brightest of the year at the annual BAFTA awards. The celebrations begin from 6.45pm in London, but afterwards, everyone from Eddie Redmayne and Benedict Cumberbatch, to Julianne Moore and Rosamund Pike will sit down for the official dinner - a culinary delight for the senses created by Grosvenor House Head Chef, Nigel Boschetti, and BAFTA 195 Piccadilly Head Chef, Anton Manganaro.

Together the pair have collaborated on the design of the menu, which as well as the nominees and winners, will serve nearly 2000 other guests.

A starter of terrine of roasted and smoked salmon with avocado and crab will kick things off, before guests being served braised short rib, beef shin with a herb crust, beef fillet, green beans, baby carrots, and gratin Dauphinoise.

Diners will then indulge in iced cacao nib parfait with 90% hacienda chocolate mousse milk purée and kirsch soaked cherries, designed and created by Hotel Chocolat - the BAFTA partner.

Vegetarian options include smoked cheese arancini, celeriac and Granny Smith apple salad, port wine glaze, walnut oil dressing, and a main of roast sweet potato, red onion and Taleggio tart, smoked garlic and chive butter sauce, gratin Dauphinoise, green beans and baby carrots.

The annual dinner follows the ceremony, which will be hosted by Stephen Fry and aired on BBC One at 9pm on Sunday 8 February. Nominees include British stars Felicity Jones, Rosamund Pike, Keira Knightley, and Ralph Fiennes.
