Mary Berry is known as the "queen of cakes' thanks to her long-spanning career, which has seen her star as a judge on Great British Bake Off and write over 70 cookbooks. And now fans can finally try one of the 82-year-old's creations for themselves as she has launched her first range of ready-made cakes, available in supermarkets nationwide.
The much-loved television star has released a range that includes seven of her signature bakes, such as lemon drizzle cake, an indulgent chocolate celebration cake and carrot cake – ideal for birthdays and Bake Off viewing parties alike!
Mary Berry has launched her own line of ready made cakes
Commenting on the launch, Mary said she is "extremely proud" of the cakes, which she designed from the comfort of her own home, taking inspiration from recipes in her popular cookbooks. "I am extremely proud of every single one of the cakes in my range. Each cake is a faithful representation of some of my favourite recipes, and they taste fantastic," Mary commented. "I hope people enjoy eating them as much as we have enjoyed creating them."
The full range – available to buy nationwide at Asda and Sainsbury's stores – also includes a death by chocolate cake, delicate rose celebration cake, lemon yoghurt loaf cake and banana fudge loaf. They are priced between a purse-friendly £2.50 for the loaf cakes up to £12 for the celebration cakes, and are sure to prove a hit with Mary's fans.

Mary is not the only Great British Bake Off star to launch her own baking range; her former co-star Paul Hollywood has his own line of ready to bake bread rolls, and is set to open his own "upmarket bakery", called Knead, in London Euston train station at the end of September. The bakery will open to customers from 7am for breakfast and promises to serve "high quality delicious food all day every day".
