There was plenty of champagne on the menu when HELLO! Online blogger Charlotte Pike served up a launch party for her debut books in London last night. The exclusive soirée , held at Italian restaurant and cocktail bar Goat Chelsea, was to celebrate the publication of her Hungry Student Cookbook series, which includes three titles – The Hungry Student Cookbook, The Hungry Student Vegetarian Cookbook and The Hungry Student Easy Baking. They promise to take you from freshers' week to graduation, all on a seriously tight budget.

“I can’t believe that after all my hard work in putting these recipes together, my books are finally on sale,” enthused Charlotte, whose guests sipped on cocktails including Passion fruit and rum punch with ginger beer and pineapple margaritas.“It’s a dream come true to be published and I’m excited to help students make the most of cooking good quality food on a budget at university. And I’m loving every second of this party!”

The 28-year-old founder of award-winning Go Free Foods – pictured at the party with her friends - was keen to add that it’s not just students who can benefit from her recipes. “They’ve been going down a storm with families too – in fact, anyone who wants to cook great home-cooked food and not have to spend a fortune along the way.

”The book launch was the culmination of three years of hard work for the former University of Exeter student, who quit her high-flying city job to set up a gluten-free food company in 2009, before signing to an agent and securing a book deal in 2012.
