The exquisite menu for the 71st Golden Globes ceremony has been unveiled. The good and great of the film industry including nominees Leonardo DiCaprio, Amy Adams and Sandra Bullock will be treated to a sumptuous three-course menu at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday evening. The starter is a colourful selection of small bites including grilled aubergine with sundried tomatoes, pine nut hummus on seared tomato, mini sweet pepper with feta cheese, pomegranate, herbs and California olive oil on pitta bread and grilled artichoke on multigrain tabbouleh and tahini.

The main course is an "elegant surf'n'turf" consisting of spice-crusted braised short rib of beef and smoked Atlantic trout fillet with tomato dill sauce. For dessert, guests will be treated to a magnificent "almond sponge case with crème Anglaise and tropical compote, topped with a gold-dusted chocolate arc. "The Golden Night, a signature cocktail which has been created for the event, pairs Moet & Chandon with pear brandy and cardamom-flavoured syrup.

Besides the standard menu, the hotel's team will cater for a number of free-from diets. "We have a lot of gluten-free, 'non-allergeny' seafood," executive sous chef Chris O'Connell said. "(And) when we do a vegetarian dish, we try to make it gluten-free and vegan to take care of everything in one shot. "He added that he knows the meal is a success "when the room is quiet [and] you know people are eating."
