Strawberries with Grana Padano and honey

There’s a delicious combination of sweet and savoury flavours in this alternative serving of strawberries

Ingredients (Serves 4)
  • 4 thick slices of Panettone
  • 275g/10oz fresh strawberries, rinsed and hulled
  • 15g/1/2oz Grana Padano, coarsely grated
  • 15g/1/2oz good-quality dark chocolate, coarsely grated
  • 2 tbsp good runny honey

Toast the slices of Panettone on both sides then place a slice on each of the 4 serving plates.

Slice the strawberries in half and divide between the 4 slices of toasted Panettone, piling them on top. Sprinkle with the grated Grana Padano and dark chocolate.

Heat the honey very gently in a pan (the honey only needs to be warm, not hot) and drizzle over the strawberries. Serve immediately.
