The classic American cookie makes the perfect addition to this icy summer drink

3 oz semi-skimmed milk
6 oz of good quality vanilla ice cream
2 oz of whipped cream to top
12 Oreo cookies
1 Maraschino cherry
1 tbs chocolate syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
Blend milk and the vanilla extract with a little chocolate syrup, followed by the broken Oreo cookies. Blend until smooth, then scoop in the vanilla ice cream, a little at a time until it is a smooth, but still frozen consistency.
Garnish with whipped cream, Maraschino cherry and serve immediately with an Oreo cookie on the side.
