I wanted to see clothes that I know I’ll want to wear.''Jessica Chastain meanwhile, went colour block cool in a crimson asymmetrical shift dress from the Calvin Klein pre-fall collection, accentuating her feminine silhouette. Keeping her look simple with a dab of red lipstick and loose curls, she teamed the colour block frock with a cinched in black belt and matching shoes. Chic alpaca coats, cashmere dresses and box-pleat skirts formed the foundations of the collection while forest green, midnight blue and anthracite were the colours in favour. Contrasting from the cool Calvin Klein collection was Ralph Lauren's romantic fairytale that also took place on Valentine's Day in the Big Apple. Always one to adapt a theme to a collection, the designer set his sights on the Russian novel and film called Anna Karenina, showcasing decadent velvet frocks and majestic ballgowns.
