Princess Caroline to wear Chanel on son's big day?

With her son Andrea Casiraghi set to marry his longtime love Tatiana Santo Domingo in two weeks time, Princess Caroline of Monaco will no doubt be planning her mother-of-the-groom outfit.The royal shouldn't have too much trouble – she already has an arsenal of Chanel Houte Couture creations in her wardrobe.Most recently, Caroline wore one of the French fashion house's stunning designs to the 65th Annual Red Cross Ball in Monte-Carlo on 2 August.

The 56-year-old was the picture of elegance in the short-sleeved column creation adorned with navy lace, white sequins and dazzling beads. Sapphire earrings and a matching bracelet completed the look.

At her previous official engagement, the Monegasque royal attended the Monaco Love Ball on the arm of Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld.

Caroline wore a Spring 2012 Haute Couture dress in white lace, topping off the outfit with shoulder-length statement earrings.

After eight years together, one year of engagement and four months as first-time parents following the birth of their son Sacha in March, a wedding for the besotted couple was definitely on the cards.

Karl and Caroline have been friends for a long time, with Karl even presenting her an award at the World Association of Children's Friends when she was honoured for her "tireless endeavours in continuing the organisation's legacy".Monaco will take centre stage once again for the royal wedding on 31 August.

Their romance blossomed two years later when they studied together at the American University in the French capital, where they both lived.

The young royal and his fiancée met through his sister Charlotte after the two young women attended the same school, Lycée Jeanne d'Arc Saint-Aspais, in Fontainebleau, near Paris.
