Movie bosses across the pond in Hollywood are currently looking for a leading man to star alongside Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct 2. But if the results of our readers' poll are anything to go by, Britain's Jude Law is the only man for the job.

Over 25,000 of you logged on to vote in our online survey. And a whopping 40 per cent thought that London-born Jude would be a perfect match for the blonde bombshell. The chisel-jawed actor received over 10,000 votes, leaving a roll-call of Tinseltown's hottest hunks standing.

The only other contender was Brad Pitt, who managed to win 30 per cent of the vote. King Arthur star Clive Owen meanwhile took nine percent, with the swoon-inducing Johnny Depp close behind on eight.

Kylie Minogue's hunky beau Olivier Martinez meanwhile finished in fifth place, followed by Irish hellraiser Colin Farrell in sixth. But poor old Ben Affleck was the surprise loser, limping home last with a paltry two per cent.

Although Sharon hasn't revealed who she would like to star in the movie, Jude would seem a likely choice. The 46-year-old actress recently declared that it should definitely be a younger man.
