Speculation grew that the relationship between Nicole Kidman and country singer Keith Urban is deepening after the Bewitched star was spotted wearing a ring on her wedding finger. Her lucky beau is a fellow Aussie who has sold millions of records in the US and recently picked up two gongs at the Country Music Awards in New York.
Paparazzi got a brief flash of the discreet silver band as the pair strolled arm-in-arm in Boston last week. It's one of a string of cosy dates they are said to have enjoyed since first being linked in July. At a recent concert the actress watched from a seat close to the stage as the singer belted out tunes that sent the 7,000-strong crowd wild.
Country singing sensation Keith grew up in Brisbane, but like Nicole left home at a young age to find fame and fortune in America. "When you have that intense focus you sacrifice everything," said the performer.
His success has obviously impressed the Hollywood star, who is said to be "purring with joy" over the relationship. A source close to Nicole commented: "Keith's a very quiet, grounded guy and he's made millions, so there'll never be money squabbles."
The Oscar-winner has made no secret of her desire to start a serious relationship and extend the family of two children she adopted with Tom Cruise. For the moment, however, Keith's representatives are keeping a lid on rumours that Nicole may be about to get her wish, with his spokesman Paul Freundlich saying: "When and if there's a statement we'll make that public."
