None of the 22 golden labradors that shared the role of the canine hero in their comedy Marley & Me were present at the film's London premiere so Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson had the red carpet more or less to themselves.
The experience was something of a rarity as the canine stars of the movie have proved as big a hit as their human co-stars. And Jennifer joked at Monday's red carpet event about her surprise at playing second fiddle to the pooches, one of whom hogged the limelight at the LA screening.
"They didn't warn us about that," admitted the actress, whose only real red carpet competition came from Jamie Oliver's wife Jools, who's heavily pregnant with the couple's third child.
Following the screening Jennifer proved she's the queen of cool by inviting some of the guests to join her and Owen in a game of pool at a private members club. "She was so easy going with everyone, she wasn't fazed by a few stares," revealed one onlooker.
