Like father, like son as Matthew and his little lad hit the beach in Malibu
14 MAY 2009
Little Levi Alves McConaughey looks set to follow in the flip-flopped footsteps of his 'surfer dude' dad, actor Matthew McConaughey, if snaps of father and son bonding on the beach are anything to go by.
Keen surfer Matthew, his ten-month-old boy and dog BJ hit the beach together in Malibu for some guy time on Wednesday. With the coastline playing such a prominent role in the Texan's lifestyle – he is often seen jogging along the shore – Matthew has already voiced his hopes
Levi will share his passion.
Speaking last year about his son's initiation into the world of surfing, he said the boy was already "outdoors as much as he is indoors", so hitting the waves would hopefully be a natural progression.
The 39-year-old and his son - both dressed in shorts and surfer-style tops - seemed very much in tune as they sat side-by-side surveying the sea.
The chance to relax with his son by Brazilian girlfriend Camilla Alves must have made a welcome break for the Sahara star. He's been kept busy lately promoting romcom Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past with co-star Jennifer Garner.
