Sacha Baron Cohen's Bruno schmoozes with Clint and Ben Stiller at men's TV awards

Pouting, hip-swivelling and outrageously dressed in a leopard-print number Sacha Baron Cohen's character Bruno had his moment in the spotlight at an American TV awards ceremony at the weekend.

In character as the faux fashion guru – the focus of Sasha's new mocumentary, out July 10 in the UK – the 37-year-old comic accepted a trophy for his comedy. And after wiggling his behind at the 600-strong LA audience and blowing kisses at the best-looking men, he joined Ben Stiller and Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood to celebrate backstage.

Also drawing laughs at the annual bash, which recognises actors and films voted for by viewers of American TV channel Spike TV, was Mel Gibson.

The star - who recently announced he's expecting a child with his Russian girlfriend Okasana Grigorieva - rode in on horseback wearing a Viking helmet to open the ceremony with a rousing speech which spoofed one he delivered in Braveheart.

Other winners on the night included Mickey Rourke, who beat Barack Obama to the man of the year award. Brad Pitt and Edward Norton were also on hand to celebrate their joint collaboration Fight Club being invested into the awards' Hall of Fame.

It wasn't just male stars picking up gongs on the night, though. Halle Berry' popularity with male viewers was also acknowledged.
